License of Mercurial logo

Hi all,

for MercurialEclipse we'd like to show the official Mercurial icon e.g.
when choosing the team provider of an Eclipse project. Currently, a
custom icon is shown. 

AFAIK the Mercurial logo is licensed under the GPL, while we use the EPL
for license compatibility with other Eclipse functionality and plug-ins.
So I got two questions: Which license applies to the Mercurial logo and
if it's licensed under the GPL, would it be possible to grant a license
exception to us or license the logo additionally under the EPL as well?
