<div>I'm about to send out a new version of the patch to incrementally update the branchheads cache.  It merits some scrutiny - I think it works this time and I've identified and fixed the bug that you observed, but it's tricky code.  Any suggestions on further

 tests and stuff like that are also welcome.</div>
